National Police chief: Liut joint assault brigade advances, provided with everything necessary, but there are also losses

The Liut (Fury) joint assault brigade of the National Police is provided with everything necessary, works on the frontline and advances together with the servicemen, but there are also losses, Chief of the National Police of Ukraine Ivan Vyhovsky has said.

In an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine, Vyhovsky said he tries to visit the fighters from the Liut joint assault brigade at least once a month.

"A few weeks ago, after the liberation of Klischiyivka, we came with Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko gave awards, discussed needs and problems," Vyhovsky said.

He said he communicates daily with the leadership of the brigade, and deputy Oleksandr Fatsevych is there on a permanent basis, who interacts with the operational headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, receives combat missions and orders.

"We try to provide our guys with everything they need as much as possible. We work both in cooperation with the military and under their fire cover. Together we storm, together we liberate our land," the National Police chief said.

At the same time, he said: "It's not as easy as we would like, but we are making progress. Unfortunately, there are also losses."

Speaking about the number of police officers directly at the front, Vyhovsky said this is about several thousand.
