Two more vessels leave ports of Big Odesa along corridor protected by Ukrainian Navy

Two more bulk carriers with a total deadweight of over 61,500 tonnes used the temporary corridor established by the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to leave the ports of Big Odesa, Andriy Klymenko, head of the Monitoring Group of Sanctions and Freedom of Navigation of the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies, said on Facebook.

According to him, on October 8, two vessels with Ukrainian cargo from those that arrived on October 1, 2023 successfully reached the territorial waters of Romania: Forza Doria under the flag of Barbados (ship owner from Liberia) and New Legacy under the flag of Belize (ship owner from the Marshall Islands).

According to the MarineTraffic resource, Forza Doria has deadweight of 32,800 tonnes, and New Legacy 28,700 tonnes.

As reported, since September 19, 2023, a total of 17 ships proceeded to the ports of Big Odesa along the corridor of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Navy and 12 ships successfully left with cargo. In addition, from August 16 to September 15, 2023, five ships from those blocked since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation passed through this corridor.

Unlike the previously existing grain corridor, the new corridor carries ships not only with agricultural products, but also with other cargo, in particular, mining and metallurgical goods or containers.
