Ukrainian Red Cross to consider possibility of participating in social assistance program for veterans – Dotsenko

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) will consider the possibility of participating in the project of the Ministry of Veterans dubbed "social assistants for veterans".

"Today at the forum, an opinion was voiced on the involvement of veterans' assistants. I really like this idea. Our social assistants can also help not only the elderly, but also veterans," said Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the URCS, during the International Rehabilitation Forum in Lviv.

He noted the importance of developing the direction of rehabilitation of patients in Ukraine and the maximum involvement of humanitarian organizations by the state.

"By combining our efforts and using our resources and experience, we will be able to help as many citizens as possible. This is our goal," Dotsenko stressed.

The Red Cross has more than 50 years of experience in homecare. URCS is working on the development of this strategy and is ready to include it in the issues of rehabilitation and recovery.
