Two people killed, three injured amid enemy attacks on Sumy region

On Tuesday, June 28, the Russian occupation forces from the Russian territory opened fire on the borderline communities in Sumy region using various weapons. As a result of the attacks, two people were killed and three injured, Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytsky has said.

"Today was a 'hot' and very noisy day in our borderline communities. Regrettably, the worst thing is that we lost people. Two [people] were killed. Three – injured," he said on the Telegram channel.

According to Zhyvytsky, after 10 a.m. the enemy attacked Krasnopillia community and certain area in Velykopysarivska community.

"The attacks were mounted from the air: the Russian forces fired around 20 missiles from helicopters without crossing the state border. All arrivals hit Krasnopillia and Myropil communities," he said.

After 11 a.m., the invaders shelled Krasnopillia community from Grad multiple rocket launchers, 30 arrivals were recorded.

In the afternoon, the enemy shelled the villages of Krasnopillia community using artillery.

At around 14 p.m., the Russian forces again mounted an artillery attack on Krasnopillia community, around 30 arrivals were registered.

After 18 a.m., another 40 arrivals on various residential areas.

In the afternoon, a drone dropped explosives on a village in Velykopysarivska community.

"The situation repeated after 20 p.m.," Zhyvytsky said.
