Ukrainian troops destroyed the command post of one of the Russian armies, adviser to the head of the President's Office of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovych has said at a briefing on Thursday morning.

"This is a big gain. This probably means the destruction of several generals and, accordingly, a pause and disorganization of the conduct of hostilities by the enemy," he said. According to Arestovych, ten air targets were destroyed during the day, five aircraft, two helicopters, one UAV and several cruise missiles. "The enemy, understanding that it cannot win either in the air or on the ground, uses traditional methods of warfare, the destruction of civilian facilities and the terror of the civilian population, as we saw in Mariupol," the adviser to the head of the President's Office said.

In addition, he said "powerful information and psychological operations, one of the topics of which was speculation that Ukraine is allegedly losing in the negotiations. "The position of the president is that Ukraine should be recognized within the international borders as of 1991. Everything we agree on must be better than before the war. Otherwise, why then these victims of the Ukrainian people," Arestovych said.
