The Ministry of Health has coordinated through diplomatic agencies more than 450 tonnes of medicines worth more than $10 million received from Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Great Britain, Israel, Denmark and international organizations (WHO, UNICEF, Médecins Sans Frontières), Andriy Yermak, head of the President's Office, said.

At the same time, he noted that thanks to the active work of the Coordinating Headquarters for Humanitarian and Social Affairs, 40,000 boxes of medicines were attracted from a company that wished to remain anonymous, which were transferred to medical institutions in Kyiv.

"The headquarters has established cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now the needs for medicines for our military are provided from all the warehouses of the Ministry of Health. A prompt exchange of medicines has been established between these ministries," Yermak said.

In addition, two large international organizations joined in providing assistance to Ukraine – Caritas and the international technical assistance project Support to Ukraine's Reforms for Governance (SURGe), implemented by Alinea International Ltd. supported by the Government of Canada.

"Together with the Embassy of Georgia and the Caritas organization, we started delivering goods to meet the needs of citizens applying to the Assistance platform, in particular through the hotline. The Caritas organization has already shipped first aid to Odesa, Zaporizhia, Dnipro, and Kyiv," the head of the President's Office said.

Assistance also comes from Teva, Bayer, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Nestle, Medtronic, Sanofi, Eric, Biopharma, Stada, Farmak, Galexis (Switzerland), Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, and Ernst von Bergmann Clinic (Germany). Denmark provided 19 ambulances.

At the same time, as noted in the message, as of March 9, the humanitarian account of the National Bank of Ukraine has UAH 81.2 million, EUR 905,900, $604,100 and GBP 6,800.
