The Russian army has slowed down the pace of advancement of its troops in Ukraine, it suffers losses in manpower and equipment, but does not abandon the offensive operation, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

"The enemy has significantly reduced the pace of the advance of troops, but has not abandoned the offensive operation. The Russian invader suffers losses in manpower and equipment, the personnel is demoralized, surrenders or resorts to desertion. The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on encircling the city of Kyiv, capturing Sumy, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv," the message says.

It clarifies that the enemy is trying to provide a land corridor between the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the continental part of the Russian Federation, and also does not leave attempts to reach the administrative borders of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

In addition, at the moment, the formation of enemy reserves at points of permanent deployment continues with the aim of their further overturning in certain areas on the territory of our state.

"According to the available information, the enemy is regrouping in order to prepare for another attempt to take Kyiv. After an unsuccessful offensive in the direction of Fastiv, the enemy is making attempts to resume offensive operations in that direction," the General Staff added.
