Center of Kharkiv being shelled – A. Gerashchenko
Shells are exploding on Svobody Square in the center of Kharkiv, Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, has said.
"Rockets are exploding on my beloved central Svobody Square in Kharkiv! My heart is breaking!" Gerashchenko wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday morning.
The State Emergency Service reports one dead and three injured as a result of shelling in Kharkov as of 8 am.
"Kharkiv: Batumskaya St., a garage and a car were on fire, a man was injured as a result of shelling, Koltsevaya St., 5 cars were on fire, two people were injured and one died as a result of shelling," the State Emergency Service said on its Telegram channel.
In Kharkiv region, according to the State Emergency Service, in the village of Rohan, as a result of the shelling, 1 person was injured and 1 died, on the street. On Koltsevaya St., as a result of shelling, 8 people were injured and 35 people were evacuated.
The report also notes 24 fires caused by enemy shelling at residential buildings, warehouses and garages were extinguished.
