Candidate to the post of the President of Ukraine from the Opposition Platform – For Life Yuriy Boiko has said that he plans to reach the second round of the presidential election thanks to voters who refused to take part in the exit polls. He is also confident in the better outcome for his political force during the parliamentary election.

"We are confident that during the counting of votes we will have additional reserves. Approximately 20% of people refused to answer in favor of whom they had cast their votes, and we believe that our votes are there," Boiko said at a briefing at his headquarters in Kyiv on Sunday.

He called this election campaign "the dirtiest in the history of Ukraine." At the same time, Boiko said that he was pleased with the elections, "because we have shown that the government, despite pressure and bribery attempts, is doomed."

Boiko added that now his task is to "protect his voters" from attempts of rigging in the regions.

In addition, he said that his party will get better outcome during the future parliamentary elections, given the level of support during the presidential elections. "We begin preparations at once after the end of the presidential campaign," Boiko said.
