Kyiv to take all necessary measures to protect interests of legal entities and individuals in Ukraine after Russia's "sanctions"

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that the imposition by Kremlin of so-called sanctions on individuals and legal entities in Ukraine is evidence of further aggression.

"The reasons given by the aggressor state to explain its actions are unsubstantiated and of manipulative nature, and the very "special economic measures" have nothing to do with international law," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published by its press service on November 1.

Kyiv recalls that the international sanctions against Kremlin were caused by the Russian armed aggression, and they can only be lifted "upon the unconditional and definitive termination of the illegitimate occupation by Russia of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions."

"Ukraine will take all the necessary measures to protect the interests of legal entities and individuals in Ukraine both within the framework of national legislation and through the use of instruments of international law," the statement reads.
