Court arrests property of infrastructure minister
The Solomiansky district court in Kyiv has decided to arrest property of Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan suspected of unlawful enrichment, the press secretary of the court Yana Kvitchenko has told the Kyiv-based Ukrayinska Pravda media outlet.
According to the media outlet, two petitions seeking to arrest the minister's property arrived to the court. One of them was fully satisfied and another one – partially.
Kvitchenko did not disclose the details of the petitions, as she was not present at the hearing.
Omelyan told the Ukrayinska Pravda that he also does not know the details, as he had learnt about the arrest from the news.
Later the press secretary of the infrastructure minister Maryna Tomko wrote on her Facebook page that according to the unconfirmed information, the court decided behind the closed doors that the following property of Omelyan was arrested: an apartment (60 square meters) and a car of the minister's brother.
