Parubiy speaks at meeting of leaders of Ukraine's foreign diplomatic missions

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy spoke at the 13th meeting of heads of foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine in Kyiv on August 28, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has reported.

"Informing the world about the importance of Ukraine's struggle and the importance of Ukrainian statehood is among the key tasks of Ukrainian diplomacy," the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said.

Speaker Parubiy thanked each of the representatives of the diplomatic corps for the fact that they in their place broadcast diplomacy information in the host countries. "During the Maidan times, I insisted on creating an anti-Putin coalition, and it was thanks to you that the whole civilized world united in support of Ukraine's independence," he said and stressed that "the entire civilized world perceives the extension of sanctions as an obligatory norm," he said.

Emphasizing the importance of obtaining lethal weapons, Parubiy noted that this is the result of work and diplomats: "The key direction for Ukraine is the Euro-Atlantic path, and in fact you have to work hard in that direction, but we achieved very significant results. Javelin is not just the type of weapons; this is a symbol of Ukraine's support."

The Chairman of the Parliament noted that "it is extremely important to find the key areas of common interest to be guided by the needs that ambassadors experience in their countries in the resolutions adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in our laws, in our decisions." "Communication between us is very important to work out a common state strategy, especially in the election year, when emotions will be imposed by certain political forces to the electoral race, and not the opinion of the main thing - of the state," he stressed.

Parubiy expressed confidence that Ukrainian diplomats, like the Ukrainian diplomatic front, will be at the forefront of strengthening and consolidating Ukrainian interests and the Ukrainian state. "I am confident that we were able to pass through the difficult years of our history, the most difficult tests that have fallen to us. I am confident that we will continue consolidating the Ukrainian state shoulder to shoulder," the Verkhovna Rada chairman said.
