Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak has said that he has a negative attitude to the intention to cut the SBU's budget.

While answering questions from journalists in Cherkasy region on Saturday about how he sees plans to cut the SBU's budget, Hrytsak said: "Negatively. I will explain. I cannot say that employees of the Security Service are in clover today. I will say this frankly."

Hrytsak noted that the lion's share of the financing is used to pay wages to servicemen and SBU employees.

"We receive very little money for development, and we receive very little money to build housing for servicemen," he said.
