Avakov signs cooperation memo between Ukrainian Interior Ministry, U.S. FBI

Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov during a working visit to the United States has held a meeting with Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Christopher Wray, which was followed by signing the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation.

The framework agreement between the Ukrainian Ministry and the FBI will allow a radical breakthrough in matters related to information exchange, access to certain technical capabilities, the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported on Wednesday.

"And one of these possibilities is the second document that we have signed today between the National Police and the FBI Department. It is aimed at combating organized crime. We have discussed with the FBI director a number of threats that come to us from Putin's regime. We also outlined some general steps that will allow combating Russian aggression," Avakov said.

As reported, interior minister of Ukraine during his working visit to the United States discussed the confrontation of the Russian hybrid threat with representatives of the U.S. State Department.
