Delinquent e-declarations will be checked first

National Agency on Corruption Prevention Natalia Korchak has said that the work on the verification of electronic declarations is ongoing and delinquent submissions will be checked first.

"We are checking e-declarations. Delinquent submissions will be checked first for administrative violations ... There is much work to do during the early stages, but we will start first with those e-declarations that were submitted late. We have the right to make requests to the appropriate declarants and set a 10-day period for them to provide explanations," NACP head said at Inter TV channel aired on Sunday.

Korchak said that under the law, there is no prioritization of checking e-declarations.

"All declarations that were filed in this wave are subjected to a compulsory and full check, but of course, we will primarily check delinquent e-declarations. In addition, when checking, we will take into account appeals from media and individual statements on incomes of senior officials which do not correspond to the information submitted."

She also expressed hope that the procedure for checking e-declarations will be approved at the next meetings of the NACP.
