Unless Russia meets commitments to de-escalate Donbas, sanctions will remain in place
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has said that the United States will maintain sanctions against Russia until Moscow fulfills its obligation to de-escalate the situation in eastern Ukraine.
Unless Russia fulfills all of its obligations concerning the de-escalation of the situation in Donbas, the sanctions will remain in force, he said at a joint press briefing with Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv on Thursday.
According to Kerry, the same applies to the situation in Crimea.
