ECHR rejects Russia's appeal against ruling on compensation to Navalny, Ofitserov

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled to reject Russia's request on referring the ECHR's judgment in the Navalny and Ofitserov v. Russia case to the Grand Chamber.
The ECHR had earlier ordered that Russia pay opposition activist Alexei Navalny and businessman Pyotr Ofitserov 80,000 euros in compensation for their prosecution in the so-called Kirovles case.
The decision on rejecting the Russian government's request was made on Monday by the Grand Chamber panel of five judges that considered several requests, including that concerning the Navalny and Ofitserov v. Russia case, the ECHR said in a press release on Tuesday.
