Ukraine's former justice minister Olena Lukash has been released on bail, after surrendering her passports to the investigator, the Olena Lukash Defense community announced on its Facebook page on Monday.

"Olena Lukash has been released on bail (…) We have left the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office. All necessary procedures were complied with," the post reads.

By 7:45 p.m. (Kyiv time) all the requirements of Kyiv Pecherksky District Court ruling of November 6, 2015 had been met in full, the group said. "Olena Lukash left her foreign-travel and domestic passports with the investigator. She has a tag," the group said.

"As of tomorrow, we are actively joining the investigation process," Lukash defenders said.

The Ukrainian Security Service detained the former justice minister (2013-2014) of the Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych Cabinet on November 5. Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office prosecutor Vladyslav Kutsenko said at a press briefing that they had gathered information that might prove Lukash's involvement in major embezzlement and fraud.

The Kyiv Pechersky District Court ordered on November 6 that the former minister be taken into custody and set bail at UAH 5.116 million. Ukrainian parliament member Vadim Novinsky from the Opposition Bloc faction paid the bail on the same day.

On Monday afternoon Kutsenko said that Lukash was being briefed at the Prosecutor General's Office concerning her release on bail and the electronic tag which has been ordered by a court. She is not allowed to travel outside Kyiv.
