Poroshenko signs law on involving Anti-Corruption Bureau agency in fight against organized crime

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law that includes the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine in the list of agencies responsible for fighting organized crime.

"Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law of Ukraine No. 630-VIII 'On amending certain laws of Ukraine due to the adoption of the law 'On National Anti-Corruption Bureau," the president's press service has reported.

The document's goal is to bring current laws in line with the new law and to ensure its practical realization to include the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine in the list of agencies responsible for legal relations in the public sector.

The law established the peculiarities of regulating labor relations with the participation of the employees of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, limitation of their involvement in elections, and inclusion of Anti-Corruption Bureau in the list of agencies fighting organized crime and ensuring national security.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on July 16.
