Shelling disrupts heating to 100 homes, hospitals, schools, childcare centers in Donetsk – reports

Artillery attacks have damaged electricity and gas supplies in individual districts of Donetsk over the past few days, the Novosti Donbass portal said, citing the city's Donetskmiskteplomerezha energy company.
"Overall, 138 homes, three hospitals, five childcare centers, five general schools and eleven other consumers remain unheated. Municipal services have launched repair work," the portal said.
Donetskmiskteplomerezha said that seven heating facilities are out of use.
Boiler houses in the Kyivsky district were suspended on January 12.
Electricity blackouts affecting boiler houses of Donetsk-Pivnichny, and Boarding School No.5 have led to irregular heating to seven homes and one general educational school.
"Donetskmiskteplomerezha has been using diesel generators to re-launch the boiler houses and to restore heating supplies to households and educational establishments. Work has been started to repair the energy supply systems feeding boiler houses," the company said.
