Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with President of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam.

"Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude to Singapore for the firm support of Ukraine. For his part, the President of Singapore said the violation of such principles like territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of borders was inadmissible," the president's press service reported.

The parties discussed the investigation of Malaysia MH17 plane crash tragedy. "Ukraine makes every effort to facilitate the international investigation under the leadership of the Netherlands. We must demonstrate common efforts to prevent such tragedies in the future," Poroshenko stressed.

Besides, the Ukrainian and Singaporean counterparts have also discussed cooperation in science and technology.

Tony Tan Keng Yam said Ukraine has a potential in that field due to a lot of prominent scientists. Singapore is willing to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Ukraine, Yam said.

Poroshenko expressed gratefulness to Singapore for the readiness to share its experience with Ukraine.

"We are impressed with the results of your anticorruption policy, your investment climate, new technologies and new synergies. This is what Ukraine should deal with," he said.
