East Ukraine operation to continue despite events in govt and Verkhovna Rada - NSDC

The resignation of Arseniy Yatseniuk from the post of Ukraine's prime minister will not influence the course of the anti-terrorist operation in the country's eastern regions, the spokesman for the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Andriy Lysenko, said at a press briefing on Friday.
"These events in the government and the Verkhovna Rada will not stop the Ukrainian soldiers. The operation to eliminate the terrorists in the east of Ukraine will continue," he said.
The army does not operate "based on the principle that if you transfer the money in the morning, soldiers will go on the offensive," he said.
"This is not how we work. A reserve has been created, and it is being replenished thanks to the authorities and thanks to Ukrainian Armed Forces' rational use of the resources that they are receiving from the state," Lysenko said.
