The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine has said that Russian troops have deployed field camps near the Ukrainian border.
"The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to build up their military presence near the state border of Ukraine. We have established that a Russian military field camp has been set up near the village of Kluglenkoye - Krucheny Les forest in Sudzha district, Kursk region. At the moment, there are units of the 32nd motorized infantry brigade, the 24th separate special purpose brigade of the main intelligence directorate of the Russian General Staff in Novosibirsk region, as well as the 56th engineer general service regiment of the Republic of Tatarstan," a spokesman for the NSDC information center Andrei Lysenko said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
In addition, Russian troops continue provocations on the border, he said. Lysenko reported that several pieces of Russian heavy military equipment approached the Ukrainian state border, simulated an attack, turned and moved along the boundary line.
The press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine reports that the shelling of Ukraine's territory from the Russian side of the border continues, including from Grad multiple rocket launchers.
The Border Service also said that Russian aircraft continue to violate Ukraine's airspace. In particular, Russian Mi-8, Ka-52 helicopters and a drone flew over Ukraine's territory.
