The European Parliament's observation mission of former Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski and former European Parliament President Pat Cox plan to meet with former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in Kharkiv Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 on the morning of Wednesday, July 31, two informed source have told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to them, the European Parliament's representatives plan to meet with the country's leadership, including Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, during the first two days of their visit on July 29 and July 30.

As reported, Cox and Kwasniewski will visit Ukraine on July 29-31.

The European Parliament mission to Ukraine headed by Cox and Kwasniewski started monitoring court proceedings involving Tymoshenko on June 11, 2012 under an agreement between Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and European Parliament President Martin Schulz.

Their mandate was subsequently expanded to include the court proceedings involving former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and former Acting Defense Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Ivaschenko.

On April 18, the Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament heard the report of the Cox-Kwasniewski mission and decided to extend the mission through September 2013.
