NSDC secretary to visit Brussels to discuss Ukrainian-EU relations

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Andriy Kliuyev will go to Brussels for a working visit on April 23-24.

The principal aim of the visit is to discuss topical issues on the Ukraine-EU agenda, including the preparations for the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in November of this year in the context of the decisions passed at the Ukraine - EU Summit which was held on February 25, 2013, the press service of the NSDC's Secretary reported.

The implementation of the action plan on the liberalization of the visa regime between Ukraine and the EU will be also on the agenda of the meetings in Brussels.

During his stay in Brussels, Kliuyev is scheduled to meet with President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule, EU Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht, as well as the leaders of the European Parliament's monitoring mission in Ukraine, former presidents, Alexander Kwasniewski and Pat Cox.
