The death toll from a road accident in Dnipropetrovsk has grown to five people, with another victim dying in hospital, the chief doctor of the Mechnikov Hospital, Serhiy Ryzhenko, has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"A woman, born in 1984, died at hospital. She was admitted to hospital after a road accident with multiple internal injuries," he said on Wednesday.

He said that two more women remained in hospital and that one of them was in a critical condition, with more than 290 fractures. The second victim, according to the doctor, is in a state of moderate severity.

In addition, one victim remains in City Hospital No. 16 (in a state of moderate severity), and a 16-year-old boy is in the regional children's hospital.

As reported, a BMW car collided with a Nissan SUV in Dnipropetrovsk at about 0800 on Wednesday and was thrown onto a bus stop. Four people, including a nine-year-old child, were killed in the accident.

The prosecutor's office of Dnipropetrovsk region believes both drivers (born in 1978 and 1955) are to blame for the accident, and investigative actions are currently being held with them.
