Another hunger striker could be "a new show" from former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Regions Party MP Valeriy Bondyk has said.

"The defense lawyers of the former prime minister already don't know what else to invent to return Yulia Volodymyrivna [Tymoshenko] to the media. This is currently their main goal, because the rating of their political party is falling, and people are already fed up with shows from the ex-head of the government. And people in the opposition say that the announcement of another hunger strike will be a new show from Yulia Volodymyrivna, because the last time such a political move gave her dividends – people again began to talk about her," the party's press service quoted him as saying.

Bondyk said that some constant demands by the prisoner were already annoying people.

"Why don't other prisoners demand anything? She is always demanding something from anyone, although she is serving a prison term for a crime committed, without exaggeration, in royal conditions," he said.

He also said that demanding a transfer from hospital to prison because of the presence of video surveillance cameras was a senseless idea.

"There are also video surveillance cameras in prison, and they won't disappear from there, because these are the requirements of laws and international standards," he said.
