Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has arrived in Moscow for talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

The talks will take place in the Russian president's residence in Novo-Ogaryovo outside Moscow, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

The Ukrainian delegation includes Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko and the head of the presidential administration, Serhiy Liovochkin.

During the visit, the two presidents will discuss topical issues on the bilateral agenda, including the deepening of interregional and border cooperation, the prospects for the development of cooperation in space sector and aircraft engineering, as well as in the field of nuclear energy.

Yanukovych and Putin will also discuss the "gas issue" as a part of the preparation for a comprehensive agreement on expanding cooperation in the gas sector.

Two agreements are expected to be signed during the visit - an intergovernmental agreement on readmission, and a protocol between the governments of the supply of goods for industrial cooperation in 2012.
