Yanukovych: NSDC to consider situation with prices for medicines after elections

The situation with prices for medicines will be considered at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine after parliamentary elections, President Viktor Yanukovych has said.

"People have a lot of complaints about prices for medicines," he said at a meeting of the Committee on Economic Reforms in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The president said that this work was being conducted, but not systematically.

Yanukovych said that some initiatives had "slowed."

"I warn you, [Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister] Raisa Vasylivna [Bohatyriova] that as soon as the elections are over, we will consider everything thoroughly at a meeting of the National; Security and Defense Council – what has been done, and what has not been done. And if we find that there are those who delayed these processes, they will be held responsible for it," he said.
