Ukrposhta agrees to deliver 90% of Temu goods within 5 days after crossing Ukrainian border

Ukrposhta, in strategic partnership with the Temu marketplace, has established a baseline SLA (Service Level Agreement) that mandates the delivery of 90% of shipments to customer post offices within five days of crossing the Ukrainian border.

"As part of our cooperation with Temu, a baseline SLA has been set: from the moment shipments cross the Ukrainian border, including all customs processes, to delivery at a post office, 90% of packages must be delivered within five days," stated Yulia Pavlenko, Director of the International Operations Department at Ukrposhta, to Interfax-Ukraine.

According to Pavlenko, a trial period preceding the strategic partnership achieved delivery times of three days for 80% of shipments after crossing the Ukrainian border.

The strategic partnership focuses on several key areas, primarily improving the speed of B2C delivery from China to Ukrainian consumers through e-commerce tools. "This includes the delivery of items ordered on the Temu platform in parcel format," Pavlenko explained.

Further objectives include scaling shipment volumes, ensuring consistent last-mile delivery across Ukraine, and optimizing customer experiences, particularly through the launch of a mobile app and other projects.

"Other aspects of the partnership will be disclosed gradually in alignment with agreements between the parties. As a large public company, Temu adheres to the principle of prioritizing implementation before communication," Pavlenko added.

The SLA represents a minimum service quality standard foundational to the contract. Should the service underperform, clients may demand compensation or discounts.

Previously, Ukrposhta announced the commencement of its strategic partnership with Temu, revealing that during the trial phase, over 1.5 million shipments were delivered, with 80% reaching customers within three days of customs clearance.

Temu offers a wide range of products across over 200 categories, from home goods to electronics. According to Ukrposhta, Temu's direct-to-consumer model lowers costs and eliminates inefficiencies inherent in traditional supply chains.

Founded in September 2022, Temu has expanded to over 80 markets worldwide, including the United States since 2022.

Ukrposhta also collaborates in China with Alibaba Group, AliExpress, and Cainiao Network, a logistics arm of Alibaba Group.
