Rescue operations at site of strike in Zaporizhia completed, 13 killed, 33 wounded

Emergency rescue operations have been completed at the site of the airstrike by Russian occupiers in Zaporizhia on Wednesday, the National Police of Ukraine said in its Telegram channel.

"The Russian army launched two strikes (FAB-500 with unified gliding and correction module) in Zaporizhia. As a result, 13 people were killed and 33 were wounded. The police rescued five people," the police said.

The information on the number of dead and wounded was confirmed by the State Emergency Service.

"The fire in the administrative building on an area of ​​800 square meters and three vehicles was extinguished. In total, four administrative buildings, 27 vehicles and a tram were damaged," the department said.

Earlier, it was reported that 13 people were killed and 32 were injured, including a teenager. Head of Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov said at least 80 people have already sought help in hospitals since the attack.

January 9 is a day of mourning in Zaporizhia.
