PGO: As result of enemy airstrikes on Zaporizhia, 13 killed, 29 injured

As a result of the Russian air attack on Zaporizhia on Wednesday, 13 people were killed, another 29 were injured, an industrial facility and multi-story buildings were destroyed, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) said.

"On January 8, 2024, the army of the aggressor country carried out an air attack on the infrastructure of Zaporizhia. According to preliminary data, 13 people were killed and another 29 were injured," the department said in a statement on its Telegram channel on Wednesday.

According to the prosecutor's office, as a result of enemy shelling, multi-story buildings, an industrial facility and other infrastructure of the city were destroyed. "The debris hit a tram and a minibus with passengers," the PGO said.

Under the procedural leadership of Zaporizhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pretrial investigation has been launched in a criminal case on the fact of committing a war crime that resulted in the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
