Unknown drones attack largest Russian sea trade port Ust-Luga – Center for Countering Disinformation
During the night of January 4, "unknown drones attacked the largest Russian sea trade port Ust-Luga in Leningrad region," said head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) Andriy Kovalenko.
On Telegram, Kovalenko notes that the Ust-Luga port plays a key role for the Russian Federation in the conditions of the war against Ukraine and general geopolitical tension.
Because it is a logistics hub for bypassing sanctions. In addition, the aggressor's shadow fleet arrives and departs here.
The Ust-Luga port has actually become an instrument of economic and military survival of the Russian Federation in conditions of isolation, Kovalenko noted, but did not report on the effectiveness of the drone attack.
At the same time, Russian Telegram channels claim that most of the drones were shot down over the Novatrans LLC terminal on the port territory. Windows in one of the buildings on the port territory were damaged. The authorities reported four UAVs shot down and no casualties or damage.
