Peace Formula Conference to be held in Montreal on Oct 30-31
The second White Paper, "Reintegration of Children Surviving Deportation and Forced Displacement: International Standards and Best Practices for Ukraine," will be useful for work at the Peace Formula conference in Montreal on October 30-31, said Daria Zarivna, Advisor to the Head of the President's Office.
"The White Paper is part of Ukraine's comprehensive strategy for the return of children and the foundation for developing further plans and mechanisms for the reintegration of deported and forcibly displaced children. Next week, the book will be useful for work at the Ministerial Conference on the Human Dimension of the Peace Formula in Montreal on October 30-31," Zarivna wrote on her Telegram channel on Friday.
It is noted that the conference will be attended by foreign ministers of Ukraine’s partner countries and experts on international and public organizations.
According to the adviser to the head of the President’s Office, the White Paper is an important document and action plan for the reintegration of children, based on international standards and relevant experience of countries such as Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Argentina.
The presentation of the document was attended by members of the International Expert Group Bring Kids Back UA, as well as representatives of the member countries of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, deputies, representatives of Ukrainian and international human rights organizations.
Experts from India, Brazil, South Africa and other countries also joined the presentation.
