Ukraine may help France create drone operator training center – Umerov
Ukraine is ready to help France create a training center for UAV operators, which will be a step in exchanging experience in the drone field, said Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
“I returned to Ukraine with concrete results after meetings with colleagues—the Ministers of Defense of France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany. I worked as part of the delegation led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy,” Umerov informed.
He noted that in France he personally became acquainted with the training of the Ukrainian brigade.
“France is not only training but also equipping our units with modern weapons. This is an example that other partners should follow. During the meeting with President Macron [French leader Emmanuel], I proposed an exchange of experience in the drone sphere. Ukraine is ready to assist in establishing a training center in France for drone operators,” the minister explained.
The minister also said that there would be more weapons for Ukrainian defenders, as Britain would supply AS-90 artillery units, long-range weapons and robotic systems that would enhance Ukraine's capabilities on the battlefield.
