Zelenskyy expects partners to take steps towards Ukraine after presenting Peace Plan
During his visit to Sumy region, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told local government officials about the Peace Plan he presented in the United States.
"’The Victory Plan’ is, first of all, strengthening Ukraine. This is a plan to force Russia to a diplomatic end to the war. It is precisely coercion because Ukraine must have a strong position," he said during the meeting.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine must have a geopolitically strong position and be reinforced with the necessary weapons, in particular those for which there are corresponding restrictions or which do not yet exist.
"There are still some details related to the end of the war. If we talk about the details of this plan, these weapons are heavy, complex, important for the destruction of the military infrastructure of the Russian Federation," the President explained.
At the same time, the Peace Plan does not cancel the Peace Summit, but rather strengthens it, he noted.
"This is the strategy. Ukraine must come to any venue, to any summit after the war is over, as strong as possible. We believe that this can be done in the coming months. Something like this. Now we will hear something from our partners," the head of state emphasized.
The President said that after he presented the Victory Plan, Ukraine "may hear something from partners."
"There may be some steps forward. We will hear. We will definitely tell society as much as possible about some things, perhaps without going into detail about weapons," he specified.
"The victory plan is not about how the war will end tomorrow. It is about how Ukraine can be strong to end this war. Ukraine must have a strong position. If you have decided to make Ukraine strong, then let's do it. And if you can't, then you can't. Then you don't need to say at every step that you want Ukraine to win. Confirm it with actions," the President concluded.
