At the meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in Sumy region, special attention was paid to two interrelated issues, energy and air defense, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"The two key issues that are closely related in this region, as in other frontline regions, are air defense and energy. I heard the report of acting Air Force Commander Anatoliy Kryvonozhko and the commander of the East Air Command Ivan Terebukha on the measures that the Air Force is taking to strengthen the protection of Sumy region specifically, other border regions and our entire state," Zelenskyy said in Telegram channel on Friday.
According to him, the "energy specialists, Minister Herman Haluschenko, on the restoration of power supply in Sumy and in the communities of the district, further ensuring the safety of generation and distribution facilities, and preparing backup equipment for the winter" were also heard. "I also received a report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky.
Earlier today, we visited the heroic 82nd Brigade together. At Headquarters, the Commander-in-Chief reported on the general situation at the front and the most difficult areas, the progress of Kursk operation, the arrival of equipment and shells at the front, and the staffing of brigades," Zelenskyy said.
