Seminars on social adaptation of veterans, their families held in Khmelnytsky region
On-site seminars on the adaptation of veterans and their family members, organized by the Ministry of Social Policy with the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS), were held in Kamyanets-Podilskyi and Khmelnytskyi.
“The goal [of the seminars] is to create conditions for the return of veterans’ families to civilian life,” the URCS reported on Facebook on Friday.
The participants of the seminars had the opportunity to improve their physical and emotional state, to contact psychologists, social workers and volunteers of the mental health and psychosocial support department of the URCS.
The project on social adaptation of veterans and their family members, piloted by the Ministry of Social Policy, includes work with specialists; group meetings with psychologists to familiarize veterans' family members with reactions to combat stress or injuries; psychosocial support activities that strengthen family relationships; physical activity and joint recreation.
It is planned that similar events will be held in the future.
