Zelenskyy announces successful test of first Ukrainian ballistic missile

Ukraine successfully conducted the test of its first ballistic missile, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said on Tuesday.
"There is a large team of people working in the defense industry. These are not only state, but also private institutions. […] I am very grateful to our guys for doing their job. […] I thought it was too soon to talk about this, but I am going to say there was a test, a good one, of the first Ukrainian ballistic missile," he told a press conference in Kyiv.
The head of state congratulated the defense industry of Ukraine.
"I cannot disclose more details," he said.
According to Zelenskyy, "missiles are a costly program, which requires investment. But there is no such money in our budget today. We invested all we could." He also noted that ongoing work is underway to find appropriate funding, in particular in cooperation with partners.
The president also touched on the issue of domestic drone production. According to him, Ukrainian manufacturers can boost drone production, but there is not enough funding.
"We are capable of making 1.5-2 million drones. We can do this. We lack money," Zelenskyy said.
