Russia's main military target today not Kharkiv, but Pokrovsk direction – Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that after the Russian army failed to break through in Kharkiv direction, their main military target has become Pokrovsk direction of Donetsk region.
"The main target [of the Russian army] today, after they failed to take Kharkiv, and we understand that this will not happen. The main target has changed. Their main direction is not the east as a whole, it is Pokrovsk. I would say that today, this is a priority for them - Pokrovsk direction and the city of Pokrovsk," Zelenskyy said in an interview with French media.
After, according to him, "there is already Kostiantynivka there, they are aiming at Toretsk, and they have plans regarding Sloviansk." "But these are all plans," the head of state noted, adding that it is in Pokrovsk direction that the Russian Federation is losing the largest number of personnel, weapons and aerial bombs.
