Number of Ukrainian declarants with incomes of UAH 1 mln per year up by 30.1% in 2023 – Hetmantsev
The number of submitted declarations of property status and income, in which Ukrainians reported an amount received during the year exceeding UAH 1 million (equivalent to $2,180 per month at the current rate), increased by 30.1%, to 12,370 in 2023, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, taxation and customs policy, Danylo Hetmantsev said on Telegram on Monday.
According to him, the obligations of such "millionaires" to pay taxes to the budget are determined in the amount of UAH 2.756 billion, and military tax – UAH 526.5 million.
Hetmantsev added that in total in 2023, Ukrainians filed 266,000 declarations, which exceeded the 2022 figure by 56.5%, and their volume increased by 29.2%, to UAH 147.9 billion.
According to him, a significant part of the declarations – 112,000 – were filed in connection with the use of the right to a tax discount. The amount of personal income tax subject to refund from the budget is UAH 444.08 million.
The head of the committee said that at the end of 2023, declarants paid personal income tax in the amount of UAH 4.54 billion and military tax in the amount of UAH 946.09 million.
As reported, inflation in Ukraine in 2022 amounted to 26.6%.
