Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Novovolynsk to attract EUR 34.5 mln grant from NEFCO to build houses for IDPs
Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Novovolynsk will attract EUR 34.5 million grant from NEFCO to build housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs), according to the NEFCO website.
The EU provides grant funds for the project to build housing for IDPs and rebuild the liberated Ukrainian cities. The program is managed through the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO). Planned investments in Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil are EUR 9.5 million each, in Khmelnytsky – EUR 8.4 million, and in Novolynsk (Volyn region) – EUR 7.1 million.
According to the project, it is planned to build housing with fully equipped and furnished apartments, with a usable area ranging from 5,000 to 7,000 square meters in three- to five-story buildings.
As reported on the NEFCO website, tenders in each city are planned from the beginning of April 2023.
Contractors interested in participating in tenders are invited to express their interest no later than March 31, 2023.
The final criteria for bidders will be set under NEFCO's procurement rules; companies missing/not expressing their interest will not be excluded from the tender.
