Antonov State Enterprise (Kyiv) proposes to establish the international fund for the revival of the An-225 Mriya transport aircraft, according to the state enterprise's Facebook page.

The state enterprise notes that the An-225 Mriya is the largest aircraft in terms of the mass of cargo transportation and unsurpassed in its parameters. For more than 30 years of operation on air routes of countries of all continents, the aircraft has shown its unique flight performance and the ability to transport oversized cargo, which no other cargo aircraft is able to carry out. The An-225 has set 240 unbroken world records. In addition, the An-225 has the ability to carry out a horizontal launch of spacecraft and rockets in flight, transport certain types of cargo on the fuselage.

"In February 2022, a disaster struck. During the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the An-225 Mriya aircraft was destroyed. This loss stunned the Antonov team, the global aviation community, and many customers for the transportation of goods by the largest aircraft. Despite the difficult times, the staff of the Antonov state enterprise resolutely considers it necessary to prevent the complete irretrievable loss of the legendary aircraft as one of the symbols of modernity and to begin the revival of the flagship of transport aviation An-225 Mriya. There is every reason for this - design and scientific and technical documentation, and most importantly - the presence, a great desire and inspiration of the Antonov state enterprise staff. Unfortunately, in a difficult time for Ukraine and Antonov state enterprise, there is not enough money to solve this problem. We propose to establish the international fund for the revival of the An-225 Mriya transport aircraft," the enterprise said.

In this regard, Antonov applies with a proposal for financial support for the project of revival of Mriya to the heads of state and government of all countries of the world; to world firms for the aviation production of aircraft and their units; to foreign partner firms that took part in the creation of aircraft, other products of the AN brand and were suppliers of their products in the serial production of aircraft by the Antonov state enterprise; to the management of banks and other financial institutions of the countries of the world; to aviation fans and enthusiasts; to the entire global aviation community, including non-state associations; to all not indifferent people who admired the greatness of the Ukrainian Mriya.
