TIS stevedoring company denies information about Russian owner

Transinvestservice (TIS, Odesa rgion), the largest stevedoring company, has denied information that one of the co-owners of the company Alexei Fedorychev is "Russian oligarch."

The company said on its Facebook page that TIS does not belong to Fedorychev. He is not a "Russian oligarch." Fedorychev is the owner of two terminals – TIS-Grain and TIS-Mineral Fertilizers. He acts as a co-investor in the rest of the terminals.

"Mr. Fedorychev left the USSR in 1987. Since then he is citizen of Hungary. He lives in the EU. His company Fedcom is one of the largest grain traders in Europe that buys grain in Ukraine and sells all over the world," the company said.

"The situation in our country is that any hint to the Russian trace in any business justifies any actions against business in the eyes of society. They would not be able to insist on the Russian trace with TIS as they do not have facts," the company said.

TIS continues operating in the usual mode, despite raids at the company.

As for the photo with a bag of money posted by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on its official website, TIS said that it was taken at home of one of the top managers/co-owners of the company.

"This is his own money that he can store anywhere not being the public official. In addition, all the money was declared and declarations were presented to the investigators," the company said.
