MMDS Ukraine to contest in court NCCR's refusal to extend radio link licenses

MMDS Ukraine LLC (Kyiv) is ready to contest in court the refusal of the National Commission for Communications Regulation (NCCR) to extend licenses for radio communications in multi-channel distribution systems in 20 regions and Crimea, the press service of SCM holding, which incorporates the company, has told Interfax-Ukraine.

The holding sees no reasons for the refusal to extend the licenses and is ready to defend its position in court.

"MMDS performs the license terms, therefore, in our opinion, there are no reasons for the non-extension of the license. The company is ready to defend its position by any means within the legal framework, including in court," the press service said.

Asked about the future plans of MMDS Ukraine and a possible sale of the asset, SCM noted there is no plan to sell the asset at the moment.

As reported, on January 12 the National Commission for Communications Regulation refused MMDS Ukraine LLC the extension of two radio licenses in multi-channel distribution systems in 20 regions of Ukraine and Crimea.
