Ukrainian mobile operators have denied the information spread by Crimean authorities about the suspension of servicing their subscribers on the Crimean peninsula.

"We do not plan to suspend services. Now our services are available," the head of the PR department at MTS Ukraine, Viktoriya Ruban, told Interfax-Ukraine.

Corporate Affairs Director of JSC Kyivstar Mykhailo Shuranov said that the position on Crimea remains unchanged, the servicing of subscribers is continuing despite the increasing complexity of work.

"Kyivstar continues to serve customers in Crimea. Because of the inability of local contractors and lessors to made payments to us, we are experiencing ongoing technical and organizational complexity: some base stations are off for nonpayment. All this leads to a gradual reduction in the quality of communications. This is a growing process that is outside of our control," he said.
