Auchan in February 2014 to open first hypermarket in Crimea

Auchan Hypermarket Ukraine LLC (Kyiv), part of Auchan Group (France), plans in February 2014 to open an Auchan hypermarket of 10,000 square meters in the Pivdenna Halereya trade and entertainment center at 189 Kyivska Street in Crimea.

According to a press release from Arricano Group, managing the data of the trade center, on October 25 it signed a preliminary lease agreement with the network of hypermarkets.

The Auchan hypermarket will be the anchor tenant in the center. It will be located in the first line of the complex and will be the first objects of the retailer in Crimea.

According to the press release, with reference to Arricano Group Director General Emil Budilovsky, the opening of the second phase of the trade center is scheduled for December 2013, afterwards the complex will become one of the largest trade centers on the Crimean peninsula.

The first stage of the trade complex opened in December 2009.

After the opening of the second phase, the total leasable area of the object will be about 33,000 square meters.
