Four Ukrainian universities join dual diploma program with UK higher education institutions

Another four Ukrainian higher education institutions have joined the double diploma program with UK universities. Thus, ten domestic universities are already taking part in the initiative, the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine has said.

"The number of higher education institutions that joined the program has almost doubled since its launch. On the one hand, this indicates a high level of educational services: in quality we are not inferior to many European universities. On the other hand, about the prospects: we are indeed equal partners of the UK in the sphere of higher education, they are increasingly striving to strengthen cooperation with Ukrainian universities," Advisor and Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Presidential Fund of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science, and Sports Olha Budnyk said.

The double diploma program will be implemented under the patronage of the Presidential Fund and within the framework of the Twinning initiative. Thanks to it, students can receive master's degrees from Ukrainian and UK universities, and educational institutions themselves can exchange experience. About 200 students are already studying under this program.

The Ukrainian-UK double diploma initiative was launched in 2023. Six Ukrainian higher education institutions immediately joined it. In 2024, as a result of a competition for a grant, another four universities joined the program: Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport, Alfred Nobel University, and Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. They will train specialists in computer engineering, AI development, cybersecurity, logistics, and urban planning.
