Zelenskyy on supply of long-range weapons by partners: There can be no shortage of courage

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said there should not and cannot be a lack of courage in the issue of partners supplying long-range weapons for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

"As for the alternative to the scarce 155 caliber, today there are only drones, their production is growing. This is the only alternative to the shortage of artillery. But there are other types of weapons – long-range weapons that our partners have. And it seems to me that there cannot be a shortage of courage, because if we [partners] have decided on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the protection of sovereignty and our people, then, it seems to me, there is no need to hesitate for a very long time, but we need to take appropriate steps forward," Zelenskyy said at a press conference with the Greek Prime Minister in Odesa on Wednesday.

The head of state also commented on the Czech initiative to supply 800,000 shells to Ukraine, saying that there is definitely positive progress with it.

"But we will be able to evaluate a positive result when the corresponding number of shells is in Ukraine. Then this will be the final correct result for Ukraine," he said.
