Ukraine, Croatia to strengthen cooperation in demining, rescue equipment, drone production

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković to discuss regional security and a possibility of holding a Ukrainian-Balkan Defense Industry Forum. The parties also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fields of demining, rescue equipment and drone production, according to the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"On the sidelines of the Ukraine – South East Europe Summit in Tirana, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković," it said on Wednesday.

The parties "discussed the possibility of holding the Ukrainian-Balkan Defense Industry Forum" and "agreed to facilitate the conclusion of agreements between Ukraine and Croatian private companies producing demining, rescue equipment, and UAVs."

The head of state thanked Croatia for supporting Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO. Zelenskyy and Plenković also discussed topical issues of regional security.

The president of Ukraine thanked Croatia and personally Plenković for supporting Ukraine during Russia's full-scale invasion.

"I am grateful to Croatia for its support to our refugees during the war. My best wishes to your entire community. Another important issue is demining assistance to Ukraine. I want to thank you for receiving our soldiers and Ukrainian children for rehabilitation," Zelenskyy said.
